POSITION SUMMARY \u0026 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nLead, develop and challenge the Accounting aspects of both Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting. Essential functions include but are not limited to the following: \n•\tDevelop, train and support a very successful team – embody and lead by example the core values of Texas Roadhouse – Passion, Partnership, Integrity \u0026 Fun\n•\tPartner with field and support center leaders on our capital and lease policies; challenge existing processes and find creative solutions as our business evolves\n•\tStay current on GAAP changes; industry trends; and shifts in our business that could trigger necessary changes in asset policies and lease terms. Project the related financial impact and implement strategic changes\n•\tChallenge processes for efficiency and appropriate leverage of technology (both existing and potential new software)\n•\tSubject matter expert on capex spending; lease classification; and related accounting, process and controls\n•\tAccountable for solid design and execution of internal controls for both new assets and leases as well as existing assets and leases. Includes monthly reconciliations, standing data reviews, etc.\n•\tOversight of quarterly and annual impairment assumptions, reviews, and documentation for both fixed assets as well as goodwill\n•\tPartner with Finance and Tax leaders to ensure recurring reporting meets or exceeds their needs both in terms of analytical data provided as well as timing of reporting\n•\tPartner with both internal and external auditors to ensure quarterly and annual compliance requirements are met\n•\tReview/analyze purchase price allocations for acquired locations\n•\tResponsibility for team budget vs actual results and anticipation of future projects and resource needs\n•\tMember of leadership group for the larger Accounting Department – includes vision and strategic planning for people and projects; set the tone for our department; etc.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nTexas Roadhouse is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to making hiring and employment decisions without regard to race, religion, color, age, gender, gender identity, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, citizenship, national origin, or any other legally-protected status.
